| Preparing for Birth Together – a One Day Course for Couples |

This one day course is an essential addition to your ante-natal preparation and has been enjoyed by Scottish parents for over a decade. Caitlin brings her wealth of experience and dedication to positive birthing to this course. You will both leave feeling confident and with a more positive outlook in the lead up to labour.
Whether you are hoping for a natural active birth, or considering an epidural, it's important to approach your birth well informed and with an open mind.
We will cover a broad range of topics including:
- Signs of Labour – is this it?
- A – Z of Pain Relief – Birth Pools to Epidurals
- Practical Tips & Techniques – Massage, Breathing & Birth Positions and effective coping skills.
- Your Birth Plan – what to include
The day is designed for first time parents but is also useful as a refresher for those expecting their next child.
As this is a practical course, please wear loose, comfortable clothing. Refreshment is provided but you will need to take a packed lunch. Please bring a gym ball with you if you have one though they will be for sale at the course. There is metered parking available on Manor Place.
Birth Preparation Course run throughout the year and take place one Saturday per month.
Places are limited on this course so advance booking is essential.
